<description><![CDATA[The Haverhill Goes Green! web page is now <strong class='bbcode bold'>requesting volunteers</strong> to help run the event:<br /><br /><table align=right><tr><td><a href="http://haverhillsbrightside.org/hgg.html/"><img width=200 height=160 src="http://haverhillsbrightside.org/images/HGG_logo.jpg" title="Haverhill Goes Green" class="alignleftt" /></a></td></tr></table><p>Haverhill's Brightside, in conjunction with most of the other volunteer groups serving Greater Haverhill, is organizing an environmental fair called <a href="hgg.html" style="color:#060">Haverhill Goes Green!</a> This free event is to promote the efforts of local business and the community to grow in a sustainable way. Here you can learn about wind, solar and geothermal energy alternatives, the benefits of green cleaning using non-hazardous ingredients, and hook up with local farms to set your table with healthier foods for your family. Live music will accompany a host of vendors and speakers and demonstrations of green technologies. Judging will take place at 1:00 pm, and winners in 3 age categories 1-8, 9-15, 16+ will each receive a prize!  Please drop-off your pumpkin before 12:00 (as early as you can) so people can enjoy them while shopping at the market!<br /><br />Palm reading and fortune telling will be available during market hours ($5 for a 5 minute reading). It is the last market day of the year, so be sure to stock up on onions, squashes, eggs, honey, maple syrup, fall decorations, pumpkins, apples and cider.<br /><br />If you are a dog lover, be sure to check out the homemade dog treats, dog-themed note cards and stocking stuffers for your furry friend.   <br /><br /><ul class='bbcode'><li class='bbcode'><strong class='bbcode bold'>Vendors</strong>: Approximately 10, offering farm fresh vegetables, fruit, eggs, herbs, goat cheese, maple syrup, honey, and cider—along with locally made baked goods, soap and crafts.<br /></li><li class='bbcode'><strong class='bbcode bold'>Non-profit Organization</strong>: The Haverhill Garden Club will be selling bulbs just in time to get them into the ground for next spring.
