We are thrilled for the upcoming market season. We will re-open on July 17th with new market hours, 9 AM to 1 PM.

If you would like to be a vendor or know anyone who would, please check out our Rules and Regulations 2010 and our Vendor Application 2010.

We are pleased to announce that we have received a grant from the Haverhill Cultural Council which will help us pay for music this season.

Volunteers needed for Haverhill Goes Green!

The Haverhill Goes Green! web page is now requesting volunteers to help run the event:

Haverhill's Brightside, in conjunction with most of the other volunteer groups serving Greater Haverhill, is organizing an environmental fair called Haverhill Goes Green! This free event is to promote the efforts of local business and the community to grow in a sustainable way. Here you can learn about wind, solar and geothermal energy alternatives, the benefits of green cleaning using non-hazardous ingredients, and hook up with local farms to set your table with healthier foods for your family. Live music will accompany a host of vendors and speakers and demonstrations of green technologies. It will be a nice way to spend the day at Winnekenni's beautiful park. Celebrate Halloween at the market!

Come down this Saturday, October 31st, to the Haverhill Farmers' Market and enter your pumpkin the pumpkin decorating contest. Judging will take place at 1:00 pm, and winners in 3 age categories 1-8, 9-15, 16+ will each receive a prize! Please drop-off your pumpkin before 12:00 (as early as you can) so people can enjoy them while shopping at the market!

Palm reading and fortune telling will be available during market hours ($5 for a 5 minute reading). It is the last market day of the year, so be sure to stock up on onions, squashes, eggs, honey, maple syrup, fall decorations, pumpkins, apples and cider.

If you are a dog lover, be sure to check out the homemade dog treats, dog-themed note cards and stocking stuffers for your furry friend.

Vendors: Approximately 10, offering farm fresh vegetables, fruit, eggs, herbs, goat cheese, maple syrup, honey, and cider—along with locally made baked goods, soap and crafts.
Non-profit Organization: The Haverhill Garden Club will be selling bulbs just in time to get them into the ground for next spring. The Garden Club helps keep the city beautiful by maintaining several garden sites throughout the city. Stop by their table if you are interested in becoming a member.

Join us again this Saturday, October 24th, at the Haverhill Farmers' Market.

Vendors: Approximately 10, offering farm fresh vegetables, fruit, eggs, herbs, goat cheese, maple syrup, honey, and cider—along with locally made baked goods, soap and crafts.

The market is open from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm on Bailey Blvd alongside GAR Park (see map). Cars can be parked in legal spaces on either side of Bailey Blvd, although some spaces alongside GAR Park will be occupied by the vendors. The market opens rain or shine, although some vendors, entertainers, and organizations may have to cancel if it rains.

We had a great Harvest Festival last Saturday, with live music, face painting, and fascinating locally mined rocks and gems. See some photos here.
Join us again this Saturday, October 17th, at the Haverhill Farmers' Market. In addition to fresh local food and local crafts, Haverhill Brightside will promote Bloomfest, and The Vine will be there to talk about community gardens. This is the kind of growth a sustainable Haverhill needs!

Non-profit Organization:
The Vine is a Jesus-following community seeking to love the city the way God does and to make Haverhill a better place. They are sponsoring a community garden project and are looking for volunteers and partners to begin the planning process. They'll be at the farmers' market with free apple cider, information about the community garden project, and an opportunity to share your ideas on how to improve the city.
